Description

In the fifth edition of the innovative orange via ferrata bestseller, the most beautiful via ferratas in the Dolomites, South Tyrol, the Garda mountains, the Brenta and the Vicenza Alps are presented.
The book contains a comprehensive compilation of alpine ferratas on the 3000m peaks in the Dolomites and on the high peaks of the Brenta, as well as detailed descriptions of the new sport and adventure via ferratas. The work is rounded off with the great via ferratas in Val Venosta and in the weather-friendly Garda mountains, where many interesting via ferratas have been added around Lake Idro.
Special emphasis was placed on informative sketches (topos), in which, in addition to the exact assessment of the individual sections of the via ferrata, possible danger points (e.g. snow gullies, rockfall zones) are also pointed out. In addition to the topos sketches, there are photos of the walls of the climbs with the exact route and some good action photos – a total of approx. 1300 color photos. The information has been researched in close cooperation with area experts and hut owners.
In addition to the classic Dolomite via ferratas, easier and family-friendly routes have also been included. A guidebook for both the leisurely via ferrata climber who enjoys a somewhat more challenging hike with insured sections, as well as for the ambitious via ferrata climber who wants to know where to find the steepest steel cables on the southern edge of the Alps.
