<p>The Saltoro jacket from Mountain Equipment is a robust, comfortable hard shell jacket that combines two Gore-Tex® materials for an optimum ratio of weight and abrasion resistance. Of course, the jacket is waterproof, windproof and breathable, and a PFC-free DWR waterproofing allows the water to pearl off.</p><p>The body of the hard shell jacket is made of lightweight 2.5-layer Gore-Tex® Paclite® fabric, reinforced on the shoulders and arm exteriors by an extra-strong Gore-Tex® hard shell material - so the Saltoro jacket can also perform long tours with a heavier backpack.&nbsp;</p><p>An adjustable helmet hood protects the head. High zippered pockets offer space for the necessary small stuff. Zippers under the arms allow air in during strenuous passages. Of course, the arm cuffs and hem can be adapted to the wearer. Thanks to the sophisticated features and the clever choice of materials, this is a relatively light hard shell jacket that will make a great companion on all kinds of adventures, be it a multi-pitch route in the Alps or a trekking tour lasting several days.</p>
