Alpine Association Guide to the Stubai Alps

<p><span style="font-size: 14px;">The round glacier ridges of the Stubai mountains between Timmelsjoch and Brenner Pass have always been one of the most popular areas for East Alpine hikers. It's not surprising, as all kinds of prominent mountain peaks are gathered around the Zuckerhütl, Schrankogel and Ruderhofspitze, which can usually be reached on technically unproblematic glacier hikes. An ideal area for another alpine band of the newly designed Alpine Club guide series.</span></p><p><span style="font-size: 14px;">Walter Klier, Innsbruck writer and proven guide author, has looked around his home mountains for decades and selected all the worthwhile and interesting ones from the vast number of ascents. His main focus was on the detailed description of the hut accesses and popular mountain trails of the mountains. In addition, of course, all the normal paths to the coveted three thousand metre peaks of the Stubai Alps and the more frequently visited crossings, provided they do not exceed the III degree of difficulty, received special attention.</span></p><p><span style="font-size: 14px;">In accordance with the guidelines of the UIAA, each route was given a description header, which at first glance provides all the information about the first ascent, degree of difficulty, time, starting point and a brief characteristic of the route. Numerous black-and-white illustrations with registered route sequences not only facilitate planning at home, but also orientation on site. The introductory section is limited to tourism-relevant information on how to get there, limits and location, flora and fauna, as well as some brief thoughts on history and nature conservation. A concluding information section contains references to literature and maps, important tips on mountain rescue and the telephone numbers of weather services, alpine information centres and mountaineering schools.</span></p><p><span style="font-size: 14px; font-weight: bold;">Language Text: German</span></p>
