<p>High Walls at Arco Climbing Guidebook Volume 1 - Classic and Modern Routes in the Sarca Valley<br></p>p>Vol. 1: Arco, Torbole, Val di Ledro, Tenno, Padaro, Dro<br></p>p>This is the fourth edition of the only climbing guidebook that Diego Filippi, author of this book and the most important protagonist of climbing in the Sarca Valley, has documented the many fruits of his labor with more passion.</p>p>The biggest novelty is the considerable expansion of the area described: it covers the entire region between Lake Garda and Valle dei Laghi; 23 new sectors and 260 new routes have been added since the previous edition. The enormous number of new routes and sectors surprised even us. Despite this abundance, we don't want to leave you with mountains of descriptions on the rock and have therefore decided to divide the book up and limit it to sensibly connected areas.<br></p>p>The region from the Sarca Valley near Arco to Lake Garda currently offers the most new routes; they are described in this first volume. Many new routes have been created in the area, for example on the Coste di Loppio near San Giovanni, in the Val di Ledro or in the still unknown small valley of Volta di Nò. Let yourself be surprised. In this edition too, the author has updated all the drawings and descriptions.<br></p>p>The difficulty ratings have been retained, as have the assessment of the beauty of a route and the historical and logistical information. In short stories, active and former climbers share their experiences and adventures on the walls of the Sarca Valley.<br></p>p>A second volume will describe the rock faces near Pietramurata, Sarche and further into the Valle dei Laghi. There are plenty of new routes there too, for example on the walls of Fraveggio or in the Limarò Gorge - with plenty of potential for more.<br></p>p>Diego FIlippi (born 1967) knows and loves the Sarca Valley and its walls like no other and wants to share his passion with everyone with this guide. Made from Trento, member of the Italian Academic Alpine Association (CAAI) and mountain guide, in this fourth updated edition he documents his experience as a profound expert on the area and active route developer, combining traditional alpine climbing with the new, modern forms of sport climbing.<br></p>
