Description

Read, dream and go!

A few years have passed since the first edition of the guide, and of course there was always snow under your skis - sometimes enough, but often unfortunately not enough. Conditions were often difficult and safety left a lot to be desired. But that didn't mean we sat at home in front of the fireplace and took it easy, no, we set off again and again and even took on long journeys. It was worth it, although powder snow was not often waiting for us. We still managed to take some nice photos...

In this second edition, you will find 19 new routes, some of the existing ones have been revised and/or improved. Furthermore, we (and the plural is appropriate, because the publishers' contribution is clear to see!) have improved the layout and completely revised all the maps, in my opinion in a decisive way. Other new features include, for example, the practical overviews at the end of the guide. And now there's only one thing left to do: read, dream and set off!

Giorgio Valè, (born 1983) was born in the northern Italian province of Brianza and is out and about in the mountains near Como as often as possible. He is a ski tour guide instructor and observer for the it. AINEVA avalanche institute. His passion for the mountains can also be seen in mountain biking, skyrunning, sport climbing, mountaineering or simply walking.

For many years, ski touring has also been one of Giorgio's great passions. He has mastered many classic climbs in a short space of time, but he still enjoys searching for new, unknown destinations off the beaten track. For him, it is above all the long climbs with plenty of vertical meters that make for a beautiful and ideal route, be it in the Aosta Valley, South Tyrol, the Swiss mountains, the Apennines or even Sicily.
<p
